Bryce Young, Matt Coral, or The Field: Is There Really a Clear Heisman Candidate? By Liam Willerup University of Miami     The most profound award in all of college football, the Heisman trophy. Last year we saw the rare occurrence of a wide receiver winning this award, as Alabama wideout DeVonta Smith scored 24 TDs on over 1800 scrimmage yards. However this season, as we are more than halfway through the season there isn't anyone that jumps off the board as a clear favorite. There hasn't been a candidate that has had a true Heisman defining game, such as last year when DeVonta Smith had 203 yards and 4 TDs versus Mississippi State or Joe Burrow when he dismantled Oklahoma in the playoffs. And even if these players this year didn't have a Heisman moment, they haven't had any crazy statistical seasons. Spencer Rattler: The Next Tate Martell or The Next Joe Burrow? by Liam Willerup    The number one QB in the class of 2019, a star in high school not only on the field but on the court with former Warriors guard Nico Mannion, Rattler has had the media's attention from a young age. Going into his college decision, Rattler decided to go to the quarterback whisperer in Lincoln Riley, who has sent Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Jalen Hurts into the NFL as starting QBs. Playing backup to Jalen Hurts his redshirt season, Rattler was propelled into a starting role his redshirt freshman season. With high hopes, and Heisman talk, going into his first season, Rattler turned around a slow start into a campaign of over 3,000 passing yards, 34 total TDs, and 7 interceptions.  NFL Week 1 Reaction, Lost Bets, and Fantasy Football by Liam Willerup     God I'm happy. NFL is back. Time to make last minute parlays that will never hit, yell at the screen for my fantasy players to score TDs, and hoping my 49ers can do something. But this Week 1 started off with a hot Thursday night game, with the Cowboys and Bucs going back and forth. This week ended perfectly, with the Raiders winning in OT versus the depleted Ravens. College Football Week 1 Talk By Liam Willerup     Technically we just had the first week of college football, but there's a reason they call it Week 0 because the big games are Scott Frost being put on the hot seat and Chip Kelly finally winning a non-conference matchup. However Week 1 has some banger games, with big time programs debuting their new NIL babies. Spencer Rattler Begins His Path to the Heisman vs Tulane     I imagine this will be far from a competitive matchup, as Oklahoma is far too talented for a Tulane team that really isn't terrible but far from Oklahoma level. Oklahoma opens at -26.5 on the score line, and could very well go well over that. Sophomore Marvin Mims appears poised to slot in as the main target for Rattler and the Sooners.   Grading Notable NBA Offseason Moves So Far By Liam Willerup     The 2021 Free Agency class was not very star powered with players that could turn a franchise around. The main two players, Chris Paul and Kawhi Leonard decided to return to their teams this offseason. However, there were still plenty of moves that have created delusional fan bases who now think they can win the Finals (totally not hinting at the Bulls...). In order to get a grasp on these moves, I'll go over all the notable signings and trades to this point.   Chicago Lands DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball in Sign and Trades Grade: B+      Bulls fans are currently peeing their pants as they acquired some dude who's offensive play style resembles that of Bulls legend Michael Jordan, and a guard in Lonzo Ball who will bring his now fixed jumper and outspoken father with him to Chicago.     My Guys for Fantasy Football This Season By Carson Hull      Warning before you read. You might never want to hear the terms upside, 2nd year leap, or value ever again after this piece. But if you can make it through those, I have players at each position that I love for this upcoming fantasy football season. These are the guys that I have been targeting over and over again in mock drafts praying that they will fall to me.  My Guys at QB Lamar Jackson Jackson had an underwhelming year last year because expectations were so high after his insane MVP season. If he regresses to the mean between last year and his MVP year, he should return to being a top 5 fantasy QB. He gets another weapon in Rashod Bateman that should open up the field more for him. He also has the same upside as Josh Allen and Kyler Murray but is getting drafted about 2 rounds later.
